Common Mistakes
Rounded Shoulders/Forward Head
Allowing the heavy weight to pull your shoulders forward and head down creates a kyphotic posture. This places excessive strain on the cervical and thoracic spine, increasing risk of neck and upper back pain, and reduces the efficiency of force transfer through the core.
Excessive Lateral Sway
Wobbling from side to side indicates a lack of core stability and hip control. This inefficient movement wastes energy, reduces the amount of weight you can carry, and can strain the lower back and hip joints due to uneven loading.
Short, Choppy Steps
Taking very short, quick steps often results from trying to compensate for instability or heavy weight. This reduces walking efficiency, increases energy expenditure, and can lead to premature fatigue in the legs and grip.
